About the event

Brewed from honey, mead is one of the oldest alcoholic beverages ever made -- dating back as far as 4,000 years.

Now you can learn how to brew it yourself, with expert guidance from Eileen Uchima, experienced meadmaker and president of the Urban Knaves of Grain homebrew club (hosts of the AHA-sanctioned and highly lauded Drunk Monk Challenge).

In this 3-hour class, you'll taste through a variety of different honeys, learn how each contributes different character to fermented honey wine, and participate in a meadmaking demo that will leave you with all the knowledge you need to make mead at home yourself!
